Earth and Environmental Science Tutoring

Service Description

At Pearson Tutoring, we provide learners with the confidence, skills and motivation to understand concepts and quickly develop and enhance their knowledge, understanding and skill level. We carefully analyse how each learner thinks and processes information and adjust our teaching approach to suit their level of education. We also understand that each learner (and in some cases, parents) have different academic expectations for the tutoring sessions, so we consider each situation on a case by case basis to ensure the session is tailored for each learner. Earth and Environmental Science is a multifaceted field of inquiry that focuses on interactions between the solid Earth, its water, its air and its living organisms, and on dynamic, interdependent relationships that have developed between these four components. Earth and environmental scientists consider how these interrelationships produce environmental change at a variety of timescales. Earth and environmental scientists strive to understand past and present processes so that reliable and scientifically-defensible predictions can be made about the future. Dinesha provides tutoring for Earth and Environmental Science for Grades 11 & 12. Some key concepts and learnings from this subject include: Contemporary Environmental Issues including Social, Economic, Cultural and Ethical Considerations; The Four Interacting Systems: The Geosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Lithosphere; Earth Systems Over a Range of Timescales; and Ecology, Zoology, Oceanography and Geology. These concepts and learnings are just a general outline as many schools offer a broad range of curriculum. During a session, learners can expect a thorough review of their class work, organising and preparing for exams, as well as being taught the concepts and theories behind assignments. Homework is also reviewed if applicable. At Pearson Tutoring, we feel an obligation for all learners to achieve their desired academic outcome.
